Well, here we have another mystery. The instrument shown above is definitely NOT your average KAZOO. Its design, shape and position of the mouthpiece are without doubt that of a TUBE MIRLITON. It is made of BAKELITE and as noted all the metal parts are machine made and assembled with precision and care. This is a very unique piece of work. The question is...Who Made It ? Where was it made, When was it made and WHY didn't the maker think it was necessary to put any identification on the finished product ? What was the POPHITT CEREAL CO. of Minneapolis, Minnesota and what kind of cereal did they produce ? WHO is Mrs. Roger Barney and does she still live at R.F.D. #1 in Adams, New York ?

If anyone out there has any answers to any of these questions PLEASE, LET US KNOW ! Thanx for asking, Captain Kazoo

Hi there....You ask about the Poph-Itt Cereal Co.....who were they and what did they make???
Well.... I have stumbled across an old label of theirs, copyright 1938, and it's for "Toasted Whiffs ..... O-Whole Wheat"...
There's a pic of a little boy eating a bowl of cereal (something that looks like cheerios)...
What's totally bizarre is that on the backside there's a coupon that can be redeemed for a game called "Bomb Tokyo"...
Soo....now you know at least one thing that Poph-Itt made.
