I haven't had time to figure this thing out so if you have any ideas please email me ASAP. It's 10" long from tip of mouthpiece to tip of bell. It's made of wood with tin braces. buttons and stops. It may be some kind of Harmonica but it does NOT work and there are some loose parts rattleing around inside. The pix show the front and back the color is red. I'll try to have more info before it goes into the permanent collection. ONE thing is sure...it's NOT A KAZOO.

I'm always amazed that people are so quick to put the KAZOO label on a musical instrument that is obviously NOT A KAZOO.

This item is an old tin whistle. These whistles were very popular as advertising giveaways back in the 30's and early 40's. I think that their slogan may have been "WHISTLE FOR SERVICE".
Very old and very collectible but...NOT A KAZOO.

This "HOAX KAZOO" was up for bids on eBay when about halfway thru the auction the seller cancelled the auction with an apology stating that the whole thing was just a joke that he was playing on his brother-in-law. By this time there were several collectors bidding on this "KAZOO" which was just a rolled up piece of paper that the seller had imprinted with the Hoax Kazoo logo.
