THE KAZOOMOBILE

The first order of business in 2004 was to start looking for a suitable vehicle to become
THE KAZOOMOBILE
"The World's Only Mobile Kazoo Museum"

For the next six (6) months we were busy shopping, buying, outfitting, decorating and prepping the
KAZOOMOBILE for its MAIDEN VOYAGE.

By September, HIGH gas prices and BAD weather had taken its toll on the adventures of the KAZOOMOBILE.
Back at the shop, the KAZOOMOBILE is undergoing a complete renovation with new graphics, new signs and easier visitor viewing. The KAZOOMOBILE now has twelve (12) display cases, six (6) on the side and six (6) in the rear. The display, consisting of 40 to 50 KAZOOZ, illustrates the evolution of the KAZOO from The Stone Age to the Computer Age.

THE GIANT KAZOO: As the year drew to a close, I had the crazy idea to construct a Giant Kazoo to mount on the top of the KAZOOMOBILE.
It's 50" long / 18" high / 12" dia. awp.
Stage 1 / Assembled entirely of assorted Garbage Cans and Pails.
Stage 2 / Background "Stars & Stripes" completed and 1st 3 rows of Kazooz attached.
I had to put this project on the back burner to attend to family and friends over the holidaze, construction to be continued ASAP.

FRIENDS IN ISRAEL

In early December I heard (via email) from an old friend in ISRAEL named Helena Kling.
Helena is by profession a psychologist specializing in Children's Play in Hospital, and has for many years been working on projects about play.
At present she is running the Educational Centre for Games in Israel.
We had been planning to establish a KAZOO section at the centre but had been out of touch for over a year.

Coincidently I heard from another friend Paul Moore, also from Israel, an internationally known One-Man-Band and the founder of the following sites.

One Man Band Music

Paul Moore Music

Paul is now in the process of developing his new "Ukulele's for Peace Project"
Paul is working with local schools teaching the Ukulele. There are two Groups, ages 7 to 9 and ages 10 to 12.
He also works with kids in mixed schools and in the Arab sector.
Then he builds an Orchestra of both Arab and Jewish Kids to help promote Peace through playing Music together, wherever there are ears to listen.

Odd Music/Ukulele's for Peace

In my correspondence with both Helena and Paul it became clear that the natural thing to do was to get these two folks together.
The following excerpts from two (2) recent emails tell the whole story.
