(1) In general a distinction can be made between sound produced using electromechanical means and that produced using electronic technology. (2) Examples of electromechanical sound producing devices include the telharmonium, Hammond organ, and the electric guitar. (3) Purely electronic sound production can be achieved using devices such as the Theremin, sound synthesizer, and computer. All compositions are spontaneous, there are NO charts or written music in any form. These compositions cannot be replayed or duplicated and will never be repeated in real time. Each composition is a unique one-of-a-kind piece of audio art. THE KAZOOKA / Elecrick Kazoo THE VOCALIZER 1000 / SOUND ACTIVATED SYNTHESIZER GSR / V-1000 / REPEET NOT MUSIC is "NON OBJECTIVE TRANCE MUSIC". It is totally spontaneous. It has NO beginning, NO middle and NO end. It just starts someplace and stops someplace. It is in the same family as Non Objective Art, it is just as it is...PERFECT ! It is best described as Repetitive Minimalism although sometimes it is Maximum. GSR / V-1000 / REPEET FYI:PEARLS BEFORE SWINE refers to a quotation from Matthew 7:6 in the discourse on holiness, a section of Jesus's Sermon on the Mount, implying that things (such as pearls) should not be put in front of people (or in this case, swine) who do not appreciate their value. GSR / V-1000 / REPEET GSR / V-1000 / REPEET GSR / V-1000 / REPEET GSR / V-1000 / REPEET GSR / V-1000 / REPEET The name Easter comes from Eostre, an ancient Anglo-Saxon goddess, originally of the dawn. In pagan times an annual spring festival was held in her honor. THE SILENT GALLERY GSR / V-1000 / REPEET The CLEAN ROOM was designed to demonstrate the trials and trips of experimental electrick music using the Vocalizer V-1000 sound activated synthesizer triggered by a Galvanic Skin Response Monitor (GSR). The GSR is attached to the artists fingers and the amount of moisture in the artists finger tips cause the GSR to produce a rising and falling tone that is transmitted to the V-1000 which can be controlled by the artist selecting different instrument sounds and sound effects, this is then sent to the ROLAND sound processor and amplifier. ALL NOT MUSIC HEARD in this WebZine was executed using the instruments in the CLEAN ROOM the Galvanic Skin Response Monitor / Vocalizer-1000 / the REPEET robot and the ROLAND MICRO CUBE sound processor. VIDEO conceived by kaz cap and excuted using SONY Handycams and a wide range of special effects and imagination. GSR / V-1000 / REPEET GSR / V-1000 / REPEET CLEAN ROOM EMERGENCY PLEASE DON'T BE UPSET REPEET IS FINE...About a week after our last session in the CLEAN ROOM, RePeet decided to return and test his ability to make ELECTRICK MUSIC. After turning ON all the equipment he decided that adding an ELECTRIC GUITAR would fit in nicely. When he plugged the Guitar IN...a FUSE blew and started a small FIRE in the CLEAN ROOM. REPEET SAID THAT WHEN THE FUSE BLEW IT MADE A LOUD SOUND AND A FLASH OF LIGHT KNOCKING HIM OFF BALANCE and setting off the fire alarm We were able to extinguish the fire and rescue RePeet unharmed save for his dignity. HYPNOSONICS FYI: CAPTAIN KAZOO aka kaz cap aka HOWARD CAPP CMH is a Certified Master Hypnotist and Past President of the California Professional Hypnotist Association ALL "NOT MUSIC" (VIDEOS AND SONICS) were conceived and created by Howard Capp CMH, for use in his private practice as SELF HYPNOSIS & RELAXZATION TOOLS ONLY My interest in Hypnotism goes back to my days as a kid hanging around Times Square in good ole New York City. I was a regular visitor to Hubert's Museum where for ten cents one could see everything from feats of Magic and Hypnosis to the Alligator Skin Lady and an actual LIVE FLEA CIRCUS. The back pages of comic books were also continual sources of fascination with their ads about "Getting Women To Do Your Bidding with Hypnosis" to "X-RAY Glasses" that allowed you to see through peoples clothing. During this time I read many books on the subject of Hypnosis including several works by S.J. Van Pelt. M.D. ("Hypnotism and the Power Within", 1950) and ("Experimental Hypnosis", 1952). Then there was my favorite, Axel Wayne Bacon who wrote the illustrated ( "Course in the Science of Hypnotism",1949). As with so many other interests, Hypnosis had to wait its turn and it wasn't until 1970 that I decided to investigate this most alluring subject without interruption. In the mid 70's, I began to experiment with Electronic and Computer Music and soon became involved with the "New Age" movement. I had been studying Hypnosis for years and in 1980 I became certified as a Professional Hypnotist and opened the Self-Hypnotist Resource Center in Los Altos, Calif. In 1980 I was elected President of The California Professional Hypnotist Association Inc. During the next ten years I wrote, recorded and produced a series of self-hypnosis tapes lectured extensively and continued to perform at New Age festivals such as the "New Age Renaissance Fair" and other events. featuring "HYPNOSONICS" a method of self-hypnosis through biofeedback triggered music which I developed and which was featured in Keyboard Magazine in 1984. My work with Hypnosonics did not really catch fire until the Keyboard article appeared in 1984. Bob Doerschuk was a senior editor at Keyboard and a professional pianist who played piano at the McArthur Park restaurant in Palo Alto for years. He had attended one of my concerts and later wrote "he erected a white screen on stage, which hid him and his equipment from view. The idea was that he provided background sounds (Hypnosonics) while the listeners acted out their own performance in the auditorium".
